When asked by Taylor Citizens on several occasions why Mr. Geiss spoke in early March to a crowd of 500+ voters in Romulus and offered Taylor tax money to fight the runway expansion at Metro Airport, Mr. Geiss refused to answer. He says in the video below that this gets into "Campaign" issues as a reason not to answer. He insists that he is not running for the $78,000 per year (+ expenditure allowances) seat in Lansing that represents Romulus & Taylor, yet he has all of the political machinery in place to do so if he wanted to. Mr. Geiss needs only announce his intention to run before the deadline. Again we ask why bring up the Campaign as an excuse not to answer a honest question if your not going to run? UPDATE - his campaign is officially under way!

We truly hope that he does not run again for any elected office. It's our opinion that his recent refusal to answer questions in a forthright and direct manner, coupled with the sad state of affairs {Team Politics} in Taylor point out some significant issues and character flaws that cannot be ignored! Not only are we disappointed by him, but image how the people of Romulus will feel when they view this video and see that He was in our opinion simply saying what they wanted to hear for some unknown reason?

We have tried to be fair with this video. The first 5 minutes are comprised of the meeting on April 1st in Taylor. The last 5 minutes are from the meeting that took place on March 11th in Romulus, pay close attention to the 9 minute mark - this is where a Citizen of Romulus asks him if Taylor will support Romulus not only with the Resolution from Taylor City Council but with money to fight the new runway plan. His response is "Yes" which draws a standing ovation from the crowd. Mr. Geiss also talks about the letter sent by the Airport Authority & how belittling it was to Taylor. Saying it was like the "Caveman" skit off TV "your too dumb to understand". This is nonsense; we have posted it below for your inspection. In our opinion this was just another example of him pandering to the crowd.
