What are we up to now?

We are working in the community trying to make positive changes where ever possible in Taylor. We will be organizing to move forward with several new community initiatives. You can help by sending us your ideas too. You know your neighborhood better than most, right? Tell us what's working and what isn't and how you think things could be better. We will pass this information on and help in any way we can.

Times are tough and one thing is for sure, if we don't help ourselves and just wait for the State or Federal Government to solve the economic crisis we are in - we may be waiting a very long time. What can we do? One easy thing is to support small local businesses by spending your money at their establishments whenever you can. Experts say that ever dollar you spend with them may circulate back into the community up to 34 times! To put it another way for every $100 you spend at locally owned businesses roughly $45 of that stays in the local economy vs. only $13 when the same $100 is spent at the big "chain" businesses. Spending local means more local jobs and a better quality of life for us all.

Regards from your friendly neighborhood WatchDogs.
